San Diego, CA. For the past 25 years, Media Arts Center San Diego‘s San Diego Latino Film Festival has been committed to celebrating local filmmakers whose passions, innovations, and insight have led them to create significant works of cinematic art. This diverse selection of films for our 25th Anniversary demonstrates that the San Diego / Tijuana border region is once again, thriving, and ready to transform the way we look at film.

Some of this year’s highlights include: Advance screening of SINGING OUR WAY TO FREEDOM, (USA) The portrait of San Diego musician, composer, and community activist, Ramon “Chunky” Sanchez, and AVENIDA BUGAMBILIA, by Tijuana Director Paulina Casmur.  In addition, this special showcase of local filmmakers includes 6 other feature length films, and 9 highly diverse shorts as part of the annual Frontera Filmmakers celebration.  For a complete list of Shorts and Frontera Filmmakers films selected for this year’s anniversary festival, click here: SDLFF Frontera Filmmakers & Shorts List. The complete schedule of movie showtimes will be announced by March 1st.

Local filmmakers and special guests will be available for interviews at the upcoming Media Kick Off Party on February 22, 2018.  Press can also pick up media credentials.
